On a recent episode of You Made It Weird (that's a weekly podcast I listen to) Myq Kaplan (He's a comedian) told the host, Pete Holmes (another comedian), about a similar scenario, and a scenario similar to something I've experienced for awhile, and a scenario similar to the one charactured above. I was simultaneously glad to hear others experienced similar events, so I knew the occurrence I was depicting was relatable, and annoyed because they kept saying the name of the device - which activated it. Essentially I was experiencing a form of the depicted situation again, except they were also discussing the situation I was depicting. Ahhh. It would have been avoidable with headphones - but good reasons existed not to use headphones. Likewise, it would have been avoidable if I had just unplugged my device, but unplugging it is a lot of work and having it available is just so darn convenient.
